Karawang adalah nama sebuah kota di Provinsi Jawa Barat dan menjadi ibukota Kabupaten Karawang, terbagi dalam 2 Kecamatan ( Karawang Barat dan Timur ). Dengan populasi 200.500 jiwa ( 2005 ), dengan luas wilayah sekitar 30 Km2. Terletak 68 Km dari Kota Jakarta dan 106 Km dari Kota Bandung.
